Agatha Christie! Trailer! Carrousel!
So I'm sure some of you might know about the new trailer for the movie, Murder on the Orient Express!
Trailer (youtube): Murder on The Orient Express 2017
SO first, it's an adaptation of a pretty well-know Murder Mystery Novel (I googled it.) and by a very famous author, Agatha Christie.
Okay, so what attracted me to actually watch the trailer was the TRAIN. I love Trains, I love how the range of the movie would probably be only on that particular train. I love it.
Second, the Murder Mystery.
If you have been noticing my Twitter Timeline lately, it has been filled with Detective Conan! Yes, you heard me, Detective Conan. I love that shrunken teenager.
I am literally very attracted to the Mystery genre, but admittedly I never liked it if it anything sexual, too grotesque and etc etc, is added into it. Like, I love how Elementary and Sherlock (both are a pretty known series) works. As much as they are hints of those content in there, it was NEVER about it, ye know?
That's what I'm trying to say at least.
So, Agatha Christie.
My first and foremost exposure to her was when Hattori Heiji mentioned that he preferred Agatha Christie over Sir Conan Doyle in an episode of Detective Conan (ccc) where a bunch of Sherlock fans gather to meet each other (as fans of course), and Heiji was just there to get a glimpse of Shinichi as he heard so much of him.
That's when I realised that there was another mystery novelist that was probably just as good as Sir Conan.
But truth be told, I didn't further my interest of her back then, (I was Idk young, younger than I am now la).
So now a few years later, with a new trailer of one of her most celebrated works is out, I took it upon myself to find her books.
And so far I did come across a few of them, all preloved and in good condition (unless you count really-yellow-pages as a damage-- well there is no tears or folds and that's a pretty good deal).
This is the list of books I just bought.
And although I bought all of these from DIFFERENT SELLERS, and with SEPARATE POSTAGE FEES. (I found three of these on Carrousel and another one a Book blog!)
The total of all 4 books ( including postage fees ) costed me about RM 58.40 !!!
Now if we consider how currently
At MPHonline
An average price of an Agatha Christie is 29.90, 4 of them would have costed me 119.6, not including postage fees (if any is applied!) and even then it already blew all of my money!
While at Kinokuniya online website,
An average price of an Agatha Christie, would be around 49.90 to 39.90, and perhaps the lowest would be 29.90. And even then you might have to pre-order.
So again, it would still blow all of my money away.
Noticing this, of course I resorted to pre-loved books! Of course, I chose the ones which are obviously in good condition (as I'm pretty picky I know).
Here's some photos of some prices of her books, I screenshotted.
And so,
Here is the pictures of my books according to the picture on each of the seller's accounts. AND THE THING IS, some of them ain't available because you have to order it yourself, and that costs more too (for Kino and MPH).
I found three books on Caroussel and a book from a Shop Blog (I think).
SO imagine my surprise when I get to buy secondhand agatha christie in caroussell. It was brill! My heart was soaring. And look at the prices! I felt like it was a Godsend. The survey was worth it! I got all my books under a tight budget and now I get to enjoy freely. But I guess if you were the type to really love BrandNew books (I do too, but I like to save my bills), this is not the way for you huhu. Wait for a sale is what I would suggest, but Agatha Christie is hard to find haha, so, it's really up to you on how you handle your financial stuff.
PS. These people of course sells books that are other than Agatha Christie, so just go through their list, who knows right? You might get the book you want in good condition and a cheap price :D
Anyway, I am in a A.C. mood at the moment, so I'm buying only these 4 for my early A.C. tidbits. I will read all of this before my degree starts which would be in early period of September.
I am nervous as a... chihuahua.
So here's the photos of the Christies that I own!!!!
And the next post, would be about my reviews (short!)!

Please, nothing harsh as it's not beneficial to both sides.
