Proofreading and Editing. I'd like to help where I can :)
First of all, I think it is highly important for one person to have their paperwork read through before submitting it to anyone at all.
Grammar, punctuation, and anything that has to do with our writing, are highly important components to be considered when you're about to let someone else dwell on your work.
These components will show how meticulous you are, how diligent, and perhaps even, how much dedication you have towards your line of work or passion. Without these proper components, your work could be deemed messy, get declined or dismissed. Right?
So this is why, other than your precious content, the way your content is portrayed or arranged, and phrased is without a doubt, just as important.
One could convince the reader, with the right words; hence, you're being persuasive on paper with the beautiful grammar and skilled phrasing done (the right verbs and adjectives could do wonders).
Do we have any disagreements?
Right.
Imagine two proposals, with similar ideas and content but differ in their arrangements, phrasing and etc.
Which will be chosen, of course it would be the one with good writing!
I'm not saying that if you have poor grammar, you would not succeed, no, that is not the case! However, we are constantly reminded that we like in a very competitive world; therefore, it is important that we have all the right tools with us - one, would be a good written material for our specified readers.
Of course, you don't have to do it on your own, there are proofreaders and editors all around you! All you have to do is ask and name their price. With the right negotiation, you'd have a done deal in your hands, being given a tool for your success.
This is all without saying, applied to every language on this Earth, I believe.
AND this is why, I would love to train myself as an efficient proofreader and editor. It is a privilege to help someone win their own range of readers and I am happy to help out by freelancing.
However as I am indeed an amateur, I would like to do things, for free, until I get the hang of it. Although I am indeed an amateur, this shouldn't stop you from asking me for such help, as it is my promise that I will provide my best, especially in the grammar area.
In one of my tabs (Me, as a Beta-reader), will be some of the works that I have proofread. Links to be precise.
At the moment, they are all fanfics by a single author, which I will explain in that page :)
So good day everyone.
Love,
Alifah Ilyana.

Please, nothing harsh as it's not beneficial to both sides.
